What Our Clients Say About Their Inspections

  • Mirtha Martinez

I just had a home inspection with Chuck, and he was great. He was very thorough and explained everything clearly as he went through the house. He answered all my questions, pointed out things I wouldn't have noticed, and even offered to look up additional info afterward. He made the process easy to understand and much less stressful. I'd definitely recommend Chuck to anyone buying a home.

Chuck is great to work with. He's inspected two houses my husband and I have offered on and his report saved us from investing in a home with serious water problems in the basement, and helped us feel reassured about the second home we offered on. He's also taught me a lot, and as a new homeowner, that's especially valuable! Thanks Chuck!

Mount Pleasant's Pocantico Water Notices

Mount Pleasant's Pocantico Water District broke the limit for haloacetic acids, a chlorine by-product, in 2025. Customers got notices in August 2025 and January 2026. The town plans to switch Pocantico water to chlorine dioxide treatment under an EPA order. If the house is in the Pocantico district, ask the seller for both notices.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The Kensico Water District, which serves about 18,190 people, is under an EPA order to cut haloacetic acids, a chlorine by-product. A new 1,200-foot bypass main opened in spring 2026, and the district expects it to cut them by almost 63%. Ask the seller whether the house is in the Kensico district and has had water notices since the bypass opened.

Pleasantville buys New York City Catskill water treated at New Castle's Millwood plant, and the village reported no violations in 2025. Ask the seller whether the house is inside the village system.

Parts of Mount Pleasant sit in the Kensico Reservoir watershed. In 2010, more than ten years ago, New York City announced a program there that offered to pay back half the cost of fixing a failing septic system, up to $25,000. Ask the seller whether the system was ever repaired under it.

When a house's sewer line backs up, the town checks its own main line first. Ask the seller whether the house has had a backup.
